The proper running mechanics are essential in order to maximize the efficiency of your stride and to reduce the chance of injury. Running properly makes you faster and also allows you to train regularly by not having to modify your workout schedule due to injury.

It his belief that a fore foot strike is the single most important aspect of proper running mechanics. In the clip he use slow motion video to illustrate the fore foot strike, stance leg stabilization and knee drive. He emphasizes how important it to absorb the force of the strike from the big toe, to the ankle, to the knee and finally the hip to provide the appropriate stabilization and power necessary to provide propel you forward. He also offers a few drills to help you “feel” the proper form.
