Horizontal Jump Drills

Here are three drills designed to help teach the proper work patterns for the long jump and triple jump.

In the first video belowm Jim VanHootegem, former Texas A&M Assistant Coach and Current Oklahoma Head Coach for Track and Field, demonstrates three drill that he uses to teach athletes the proper footwork pattern for the horizontal jumps.

In the second video Coach  VanHootegem, demonstrates the start that he teaches to his horizontal jumpers.

In both videos he offers coaches cues to help you to train your athletes.
