Lead & Trail Leg Work for Hurdlers with Eric Jubeck.
Coach Eric Jubeck has been the Monroe Girls Head Track & Field Coach for 3 seasons and his team is the 3-time defending regional champions. Coach Jubeck is a 3rd generation track and field coach for Monroe High School, taking over shortly after his father Howie Jubeck’s retirement from coaching for over 30 years. During Eric Jubeck’s tenure, Monroe has finished in the top half of the conference as the smallest school in the famed Badger South Conference, and last season were runners-up to Watertown High School.
This video doubles as both a tool to help pick out potential hurdle talent and work through drills to maximize athletes’ natural abilities. Designed for the high school coach in mind, but the drills will benefit all age groups. Our hurdling philosophy is to keep it simple, always be sprinting, and focus on developing both legs.
We are providing this drill to give you ideas on how to enhance your current practice drills. The idea is not to implement it exactly as is, but rather to tweak it to make it fit your system
There is sound with the video, so please make sure that your sound is on.
