Below are five warm-up drill for your sprinters. They not only serve to prepare the body for a more rigorous workout, but also reinforces proper running mechanics. In the clip Dana Boone, the Texas State University head track & field coach, teaches five warm-up drills for sprinters that help promote proper mechanics. Coach Boone has used these drills en route to coaching 53 All Americans during her career.

To reach maximum velocity sprinter need a perfect posture and great technique. In the the two video clips below renowned sprint coach Pat Henry, Texas A&M Head Coach, discusses technique and posture needed to be a great sprinter. In the first video he takes athletes through Marching Drills emphasizing a level chin, toe up/ankle flexed and hitting under your center of mass. He stresses the importance of the dorsiflexion of the ankle and the foot hitting under the knee. The second video is a mini-hurdle drill to work on posture and foot patterns.
